A simple way to filter out dirty water from the plastic bottle and a piece of cloth.
It is necessary to take two containers. In the simplest version, you can use plastic bottles, cutting them in half. One tank (with dirty water) should be placed higher than the tank for clean water. One side of a piece of fabric (the fabric should be made of natural, non-synthetic material), after wetting, put in a container with dirty water, the other side into the lower container.
We leave everything for a while.
Water from the upper tank of the tissue capillaries, cleaned, will flow to the bottom container under the influence of the pressure difference caused by the height difference.
It should be taken into account:
- – it is desirable to make the height difference as much as possible;
- – fabric should be used from coarse fibers. The coarser the fibers (the larger the diameter of the capillaries), the faster the process will go in time. Depending on the type of fabric and the difference in height, the duration of the cleaning process is about 1-3 hours for 0.5 liters of water.
In this way, water is purified from suspended particles (turbid, dirty water). Harmful bacteria and this method is, of course, will not be removed. For this will help a crystalline potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate) or other means for disinfecting water.
